Day 10 - Friday, Graduation!

Friday marked our final day of Session 1. After enjoying breakfast together, the campers and their pups headed out for one last morning hike before saying goodbye.

The hike was a chance to slow down, enjoy nature, and reflect on the incredible journey they have shared over the past two weeks.

What began as new partnerships have grown into trusting relationships built through patience, communication, and countless positive experiences.

The hike led the group to the beautiful Econ River, where the campers and dogs took time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and cool off in the water.

The river offered one final opportunity for exploration and enrichment as the dogs waded through the water, investigated new scents, and experienced the natural environment alongside their campers.

It was a peaceful reminder that some of the best adventures are the simplest ones.

Before returning to campus, the campers treated their pups to one final outing with lunch on the patio at Avalon Marketplace.

It's amazing to see how much the dogs have grown in confidence over these past two weeks.

Public outings that may have felt overwhelming at first have become enjoyable experiences, thanks to the patience, guidance, and positive interactions they've shared with their campers.

These experiences not only enriched the dogs' lives but also gave them valuable exposure as they continue their journey toward finding forever homes.

Back on campus, it was time to say goodbye.

Before the dogs departed for their next destination, each camper spent a few quiet moments with their pup, offering calming massages, gentle affection, and heartfelt well wishes.

While goodbyes are never easy, the campers left knowing they have made a meaningful difference.

Through love, patience, and shared experiences, they've helped each dog build confidence, create positive memories, and take another step toward a bright future.

After the dogs departed, the campers and crew celebrated the end of an unforgettable session with a well-earned jump into the pool.

It was the perfect way to close out two weeks of learning, adventure, laughter, and growth.

Throughout camp, the campers not only gained knowledge about dogs and animal welfare, they also developed life skills that will stay with them long after camp ends.

The friendships they formed, the lessons they learned, and the lives they touched (both human and canine) made this session of Camp Doglando an experience to remember.
